2012 IFMAR WORLDS: Elliott Boots è il TQ in Argentina

Wednesday morning is started with heat five early at 8.30,conditions were good warm and dry. Elliott was in heat one TQ the third round by 3 seconds from Robert also using Plus 4BTT To make this possible for Elliott, we changed the car to 2.5° toe in (instead of 3°) we moved the shocks into the inner hole in the wishbone, we also changed the camber to minus 5° (instead of the regular 3°)

We changed the center diff from 7000 to 6000 to make it easier to drive over the bumps and we put on a set of medium I Beam. For the fourth round we went out to an other set of fresh I Beam medium and the car was very nervous for the first 3 or 4 laps. Unfortunatly we had a crash 50 meters before the line, loosing us 10 seconds.

For the fifth round we went back to the third round set of tires, which was less edgy and also bring more luck as this was the set we used to TQ in round three. We could have reached 14 laps, but we have been held up behind Ryan and Reno, battling and giving us no room. I called Elliott to be patient and not get tangled.

We went to technical inspection, the tank was 122cc which is under the limit of the 125cc and the car went through the box ok with the 5° camber, so everything was good and we were 13 seconds quicker than the fastest of the others, which is 1 second per lap faster over the 13 laps!
