David Ehrbar joins Serpent as designer / team-manager
Longtime RC racer David Ehrbar from Germany joins Serpent as designer with focus on the onroad electric cars and will work closely together with Michael Salven.
David has been actively racing Serpent cars for over 3 years now and has done part-time designwork as well as test-work on the touringcar side and also on the F1 car platform in 2015. The cooperation is working well, so we are happy to be able to expand the cooperation to a full-time job.
His main job until now was being engineer at a German high-end printingmachine maker. A very different market, but also a high-tech and innovative company.
Design
The electric onroad market with the 1/10 TC, 1/12 and 1/10 pancars, as well as the F1 class is becoming an important share of the Serpent productline and needs a dedicated designer to follow the market and racing scene, visit and attend all the main races and do the testwork as needed. Also being in contact with the teamdrivers and many regular drivers is essential to design and develop cars which suit the needs best !
Team manager
The role of a team manager is essential to coordinate the testing and find the right set-ups for each specific race in fastest and best way. David will also become active as the Serpent Team manager at the main races he will visit or attend. At the same time he is our central person for Serpent drivers to address their questions regarding our electric onroad products. So your feedback and input is greatly appreciated.
You will be able to meet David at most main races for electric onroad, which includes EC, WC and ETS. But of course he will also attend many other races, national and regional ones.
New projects
David has been working for the past year on a number of innovative new concepts, which we expect to show and offer later in 2016. We will keep you posted.
Racing
Next up is the ETS in Muelheim-Kaerlich, Germany (Indoor). With 450 entrees this is the biggest indoor-race in Europe. Serpent distributor in Germany, 2-SPEED DISTRIBUTION, will take care of service and support in cooperation with a shop. Serpent will display the current Eryx 411 cars, the F110 SF2 and the latest pancars.
All Serpent drivers will receive a free Serpent T-shirt and tech-support from Team Serpent.
